Here, you all saw the immense benefits just a single ayurvedic tonic can give you. But, I know people are still here who will rush to the doctor again whenever they fall ill due to xyz reason instead of using Ayurveda and get a description full of allopathic medicines. Friends, I just want to ask you a question. How many of you had gone through of so much detailed structure about aurvedic remedy? Possibly, none of you! In the times of our forefathers, Ayurveda was the major mode of treatment and none can deny the fact that the people in that age used to live a life that was far healthier and happier than ours. But now, we all know about the status of Ayurveda.
What is the status of Ayurveda today?
We don’t believe in Ayurveda anymore. This is not the fault of Ayurveda; instead it is a fault of we people. Ayurveda is now often consider as just a wellness treatment method in the modern era and not as a medicinal form of treatment even after having a lot to give us. But, this is our perspective that Ayurveda has nothing to do with our health problems.
Folks, Ayurveda has a huge history. “Ayurveda is actually a mode of treatment that is a gift of God to the sages and is a subpart of Atharv veda. The ayurvedic treatment methods for the physicians are present in the charaka samhita and for the surgeons; it is present in the sushruta samhita. Well, it is not a way of treatment only; instead is a complete culture, ethic, art of living and learning. Ayurveda says that everything begins with mind and teaches us to make the mind accept that we are happy, calm and relax and disease free. It not only treats our health problems, but teaches us to live a life with confidence and self-esteem.” ……. This is Ayurveda.
Most of the times whenever, we go for the treatment of any disease, we get the same medicines by the doctor regardless of our body types and if it comes to recognizing the real cause behind the same, allopathy or western medicinal culture remains completely clueless regarding it. But, Ayurveda has told us that there are three types of “doshas“ that describe our body types. According to Ayurveda, our body is made up of five elements earth, fire, air, water and ether and the doshas are made up of the combination of any two of these elements (in majority) each. Let me clear the statement.
How Ayurveda is helpful for Us?
All of us are made up of all these five elements, but, the two of these five remain in majority hence defining our body types. The dosha or body type vata is made up of air and ether in majority. When it comes to pitta, it is made up of the elements fire and water in majority. And, the last one kapha is made up of the majority presence of earth and water.
All these body types have different adaptability qualities and capabilities. Ayurveda tends to treat you after understanding your body type and adaptability, unlike the other modes of treatment. Moreover, it treats you from roots. For example, if you are going for the treatment of diabetes in western medication, you’ll get insulin and medicines with no clue about its beginning.
But, Ayurveda will tell you about all the six phases it covers and will work towards reversing all these stages one by one. Moreover, no western process can tell you the type of snake that has bite you, but Ayurveda has a way to solve this too and the patient gets the right treatment accordingly. How wonderful it is! Isn’t it? This is the only reason that Ayurveda not only treats, but cures the disease from roots which is not possible in case of allopathy. Allopathy has some limits that Ayurveda has not. There is no beginning or end of Ayurveda and we have a lot more to go. This is not just an ancient form of treatment; instead it is an ancient form of treatment along with modern solutions. The purpose of Ayurveda is not to treat you, but to treat you from your body, mind and soul.
The reasons that lead to the downfall of Ayurveda are:
- The samhitas in which Ayurveda has mentioned are available in the ancient Sanskrit language that lacked proper grammar. This prevents the complete understanding of the ayurvedic medicines and treatment processes.
- Ayurveda is one of the alternative modes of treatment in western countries. Lack of regulated practice and commercial benefit is one of the major factors for the downfall of Ayurveda.
- The ayurvedic method takes time to heal the problem and we are impatient enough to seek the instant results. We never try to understand the root cause of the health issue; instead just want an instant relief that of course Ayurveda is never going to provide. This is the reason we tend to accept the allopathic medicines.
- Ayurveda will never treat you by giving you just a tablet or pill. It will demands some efforts in the form of change in lifestyle, eating habits and exercises along with the treatment that we don’t even dream to pursue in today’s busy schedule.
- Ayurveda possesses the natural methods as well as ingredients that of course we don’t take serious. That is why only we are the reason behind the downfall of Ayurveda.
Major Factors That Are Responsible for the Downfall of Ayurveda
These are the major factors that led to the downfall of Ayurveda. But this is not what Ayurveda deserves. Ayurveda is such a magnificent science of healing that it must be a part of our day to day life. If you are reading this article, you must also be somewhere in the core of the heart desiring the same.
There is one more thing – “Yoga”. Yoga complements Ayurveda and Ayurveda complements Yoga. And both together give you a perfect perspective of life and living. Both the yoga and Ayurveda bring you closer you yourself, your mind and soul. But, yeah, this is something we don’t have time to spend for. Yes, even the medical practitioners accept that allopathy is really costly and has some limits. The collaboration of Ayurveda with allopathy will give the ultimate results. But this will take a lot more years to get into action.
Folks, we need to understand that it is only natural elements can give us healthy, happy and long life. I’ll just suggest you to start believing and adopting Ayurveda in your life. So that you can get a disease as well as side-effects free life.
Now, think yourself about which way you want to go for.
